Review of Atomic Weights and Historical Tables
On an element by element basis, CIAAW performs an extensive review of the atomic weights. Because of the magnitude of this endeavor, this task is performed at approximately 20-years intervals. The last review was performed in 2000 and published in 2003.
Atomic weights of the elements: Review 2000, J. R. de Laeter, J.K. Böhlke, P. De Bièvre, H. Hidaka, H. S. Peiser, K. J. R. Rosman, and P. D. P. Taylor, Pure Appl. Chem. 75, 683-800 (2003). [full text - pdf 773 KB + erratum – pdf 30 KB] {EXER 2000.pdf} + {EXER 2000 Errata.pdf}
The penultimate review was published in 1984.
Element by element review of their atomic weights, H. S. Peiser, N. E. Holden, P. De Bièvre, I. L. Barnes, R. Hagemann, J. R. de Laeter, T. J. Murphy, E. Roth, M. Shima, and H. G. Thode, Pure Appl. Chem. 56, 695-768 (1984). [full text - pdf 1439 KB + errata – 80 KB] {Element by Element Review.pdf} + {Element by Element Review Errata.pdf}
Since 1882, atomic-weight values have improved. A discussion of their improvements is presented in:
History of the recommended atomic-weight values from 1882 to 1997: A comparison of differences from current values to the estimated uncertainties of earlier values, T. B. Coplen and H. S. Peiser. Pure Appl. Chem. 70(1), 237-257 (1998) [full text - pdf 1.063MB] {History AW 1882-1997.pdf}
