•The First Release of the new IUPAC Periodic Table of the Isotopes is now available. It is part of the IUPAC project titled “Development of an isotopic periodic table for the educational community”.
• Atomic weights of 10 elements have changed. For the first time in history, the standard atomic weights of 10 elements (H, Li, B, C, N, O, Si, S, Cl, and Tl) are expressed as intervals, a method that more accurately reflects their variations in naturally occurring materials. These new values are found in the Table of Standard Atomic Weights 2009 (PDF), which also includes Tables abridged to four figures and five figures.
A companion article titled "Atomic Weights—No Longer Constants of Nature" is published in Chemistry International.

• "Atomic Weights of Ten Chemical Elements About to Change" by USGS
• The Commission's Table of Isotopic Compositions of the Elements (PDF) has been published. For each element, this critical evaluation of the published literature provides the "best measurement" of the isotope abundances in a single sample and a set of representative isotope abundances and uncertainties that accommodate known variations in normal terrestrial materials.
